Why Umbria
The green heart of Italy, between Rome and Florence
Umbria has the rolling hills, medieval hill towns, olive groves and vineyards that couples picture when they think of Tuscany, with a quieter, more intimate feel. Assisi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Perugia, Todi, Spello and Montefalco are all within easy reach of one another, and the late-afternoon light over the hills is exactly what our films are made of.
Getting here is easy: Perugia has its own airport, and Rome and Florence are about two hours away by car. And if you’re marrying elsewhere in Italy, we’ll come to you.

How your wedding day works with us
We start with getting ready, when the nerves and the laughter are most honest, then follow you to the ceremony: a civil wedding at the comune, a church service or a symbolic ceremony in a garden or a castle courtyard. Between the ceremony and dinner we take you away for a few quiet minutes in the best light of the day, never asking you to pose. Then come dinner, the toasts, the cake cutting and the first dances.
For couples who travel, a wedding is rarely just one day. If your guests arrive early or stay on, the welcome party and the farewell brunch can be filmed too, and pre-wedding filming can be arranged while you are in Italy.
Light and seasons
Choosing your date from abroad
When you choose a date from far away, think about the light as well as the weather. Late spring and September bring long evenings and warm light over the hills. High summer is hot in the middle of the day, so ceremonies are often planned for late afternoon. October brings the grape harvest and misty mornings in the valleys.
May, June and September are among the most requested months at venues and town halls, so plan early: ideally 12–18 months ahead. And on the day, protect the hour before sunset in your timeline. It is the hour our films are made of.
When your wedding lasts a weekend
Couples who travel to Italy often gather their guests for several days. The welcome party the evening before and the farewell brunch the morning after can become part of the same film.

Near Perugia, Villa di Montefreddo and Borgo Colognola; in Torgiano, Castello di Rosciano; in Assisi, Tenuta di San Masseo and Castello di Petrata; in the upper Tiber Valley, La Torre di Celle. And across the border in Tuscany, Poggio alla Sala, near Montepulciano.
