Luigi and Christina were married at Castello di Petrata, in the hills around Assisi: old stone, ivy on the walls and green all around. The film moves between the quiet moments of getting ready, the dress hanging by the window, the rings resting on a large golden eye, and the energy of a day full of friends.

The ceremony is held outdoors beneath a great arch of flowers, with the bride reading her vows; then the embraces, dinner in a bright room among lamps and hanging lights, friends’ speeches and laughter at the table. To close, the cake cutting between fountains of light and dancing beneath a huge disc of light bulbs.
