Their day
Andrea and Chloe chose Castello di Rosciano, in the hills of Torgiano, for their wedding on 9 July 2023. Anyone who meets them notices it straight away: their bond shows in every glance, and the medieval castle, with its stone walls and fairy-tale feel, was the right setting to tell it.
The film follows the day through the castle’s stone rooms and halls, from the window light while getting ready to the terrace overlooking the valley, and on to the celebration with friends and family. A love story told in the heart of Umbria, among history and nature.
Then, during the party, the day came back to life on screen: the edit you see here was filmed and cut in the hours of the wedding itself and screened as a surprise for the couple and their guests.
On set
Morning at the castle
The edit opens on the valley under a clear sky, the outline of the mountains on the horizon. Then the castle gets ready: the tower and the terrace hung with festoon lights, the lawn where white chairs already stand in rows between the flower arrangements, the drone gliding over the walls in golden light.
Getting ready is filmed almost against the light. Chloe opens the window and lingers there, Andrea looks out between the curtains; on a stone sill sit his shoes, bow tie and cufflinks, then, in the shadow of a window grille, the red ring boxes. The dress hangs at an arched window, friends in pink and red robes laugh and dance, and a woman in a pale blue dress fastens the buttons down Chloe’s back. Between the details come pink roses and gypsophila, petals scattered on the grass, and the title Andrea e Chloe appearing in a corner of the frame.
In a stone hall, beneath a brick arch, Andrea waits: she walks towards him, they take each other’s hands, they laugh.

The ceremony
Vows on the lawn, sunset on the terrace
The ceremony is held outdoors, on the lawn overlooking the valley, beneath an arch of blue hydrangeas, burgundy and pink roses and gypsophila. Andrea walks in first, escorted down the aisle between the white chairs; then the bridesmaids with their bouquets, then Chloe, on the arm of a man in a dark suit, while guests hold up their phones.
The vows are read at the microphone: Andrea’s from the screen of his phone, Chloe’s from a sheet of paper. Then the rings, and on the way out the couple walk through a cloud of pink smoke, petals caught in Chloe’s hair.
The rest belongs to the late-afternoon light: the stone staircase taken beneath a grilled doorway, portraits against the castle’s warm walls, two profiles almost touching with the sun between them. The edit stops on the terrace at sunset, under the festoon lights: Andrea lifts Chloe and she opens her arms to the hills. That is where the film shown later at the party comes to an end.
