Their day

Sandra and Debbie celebrated their wedding at Casa San Carlo, in the hills of Monteleone d’Orvieto, in the corner of Umbria that borders Tuscany. The film opens from the sky over the stone and brick village stretched along its ridge, then comes down into its lanes, where the two brides walk hand in hand with their bouquets.

The ceremony is held outdoors, with guests on either side of a white aisle and the hills all around; then toasts overlooking the valley, a long table laid in the open air and, at sunset, a walk through tall grass in the golden evening light.
