Their day
Raffaele and Pamela were married in the church of San Giovanni Evangelista in Terontola and celebrated among the vineyards of Buccelletti Casali & Cantina, near Castiglion Fiorentino in Tuscany. The film opens on a vintage radio, their names appearing on screen, then lifts into the air above the hills: rows of vines, fields and houses in golden light.
Getting ready is a matter of small gestures: the dress hanging from a balcony, Raffaele’s watch and bow tie, a little boy in a navy waistcoat giving the camera two thumbs up. Before putting on her gown, Pamela takes a young girl’s face in her hands and kisses her; moments later it is Pamela who is moved. Outside, a mint-green vintage van waits, tied with a large white tulle bow.
Guests in bright colours gather in front of the church, and Raffaele stands in the doorway with two little boys holding his hands. During the ceremony the couple’s hands meet beside a bouquet of pale roses; at the kiss, a church full of friends breaks into applause, phones raised.
The reception is held outdoors between the vines: white parasols, the aperitivo, embraces among the rows in the afternoon sun. As evening falls the party moves beneath the lanterns, between the dessert table and dancing with all the guests.
On set
A party between the vines
The heart of the film is the vineyard. From the drone, the tables and white striped parasols fill a grassy aisle between two rows of vines, like a small piazza in the middle of the countryside; at ground level the same scene becomes a sequence of faces. Someone pours spritz into the glasses, friends lean into the lens laughing, a guest takes a selfie with the groom.
Our way of working is to follow the day as it happens, from among the guests. When Raffaele sweeps Pamela into his arms and kisses her beside the vines, the friends behind them throw their hands in the air and applaud; a moment later the two turn to the camera with their arms wide open and the whole party at their backs.

Light and moments
From nightfall to the white road
As the sun goes down, the film changes colour. Lanterns come on beneath the trees, friends lift Raffaele and toss him into the air, and the dessert table glows with candles and gilded stands against a stone wall. Then the sparklers: two lines of guests holding them high, and the couple walking between them towards the camera. The dance floor fills with coloured light.
The ending returns to daylight, on a white gravel road between the trees. Three children walk ahead of Raffaele and Pamela, holding hands, the boys in waistcoats and bow ties, the girl in a white dress, and the title with their names appears as they draw closer. A simple close: a walk in the sunshine, and nothing more.
