Their day
Arturo and Susanna were married in Perugia, on a rainy day the film turns into poetry. Clear umbrellas, the Fontana Maggiore, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the wet steps of Piazza IV Novembre: the old town becomes the set of a romantic story.
The ceremony takes place in the Sala dei Notari of the Palazzo dei Priori, beneath its frescoed arches and full of guests; outside, rice is thrown on the steps. Then the reception at Castello di Santa Petronilla, the Neo-Gothic residence in the hills of Perugia built by the painter Lemmo Rossi Scotti: a white hall and flowers, speeches, embraces and the cake cutting between fountains of light.
